We are the Network for Interactive Entertainment Regulation (NIER), an international research community based in the UK🇬🇧. We bring together scholars🧑🎓(especially early-career researchers) who are interested in how interactive entertainment is shaped, governed, and regulated across different contexts. Our work explores a wide range of topics, including video games, immersive experiences, and emerging interactive technologies🎮.
Our mission is to support and advance interdisciplinary research on interactive entertainment regulation. We aim to better understand how to protect players, creators, and other stakeholders from a legal/policy lens, contributing to more robust, evidence-based policymaking.
By fostering open dialogue, collaborative research, and interdisciplinary exchange, we create a supportive space where researchers can share ideas, develop projects, and contribute to informed discussions about the future of interactive entertainment governance.
