Calling for hot takes about all sorts of news on games and law…anything!
Our blog is a space for sharing ideas, reflections, and ongoing conversations about the regulation and governance of interactive entertainment. We welcome contributions that explore video games, immersive technologies, player wellbeing, industry practices, and the broader social, cultural, and policy questions surrounding interactive entertainment.
The blog is especially open to early-career researchers, offering a supportive and low-pressure environment to share work-in-progress thoughts, highlight emerging research, or comment on current developments in the field. You don’t need a polished paper, just a meaningful idea worth discussing with our community.
If you are interested in contributing, we would love to hear from you. A simple [Overview], a [body of text], and an [about the author] will pretty much cover all you need to think about when writing a NIER blog. We recommend reference styles in OSCOLAR, Harvard, APA, IEEE, etc., or if you think there is no need for references but only further readings, it will do too!✅ You can propose your topic, or send your draft (min 700 words) to [email protected].
